Drumdin has also acquired funding through the "Year of the Artist", which enabled our director at the time, Brendan Murphy to set up and run a children's drumming band, Percussion Posse.
This was very successful. Many of the children, now young adults, are still participating in drumming bands. Some have set up their own bands, some have gone on to play and perform with the stilt walking group Neighbourhood Watch, another is working as a professional musician and regularly performs with Soznak (you may have seen them perform on Northumberland Street). Also, one member is attending University and has regularly played in Nolberto Solarno's band the Geordie Latinos among others.
